A huge part of this is because the game is very generous in the way it lets you come back to life thanks to your orbs. I played on the “normal” setting first time I played it and found it a breeze to get through. I have to admit that Devil May Cry 5 is the easiest game in the series. I love to juggle enemies in the air as Dante and just smash them as quickly as possible as Nero, but the way you go about battle could be very different. It takes a while to get the hang of, but it is a great deal of fun.Įach of the three characters can be upgraded as you play and a huge appeal of this game (and the series in general) is that you can play it the way you want.

Instead, you control these evil looking creatures that do the fighting for you, they weaken an enemy and then you need to zoom in for the kill. To start with, you do not actually “attack” with him. Blue Orbs can be used in Devil May Cry 5 to increase your maximum health gauge by one segment. Now granted, you do not get to play as him a ton, but he is a very interesting guy. Red Orbs can be used in Devil May Cry 5 to acquire new skills and power up your characters, as well as letting you go back into battle after you lose. The new character to the series is V and V is fantastic. I liked Nero, but out of the three characters he was the most one dimensional when it came to gameplay. You then have Nero, Nero is great and packs more of a punch than Dante and he also has his own sets of special moves and abilities that he can do. I would say that this is the most athletic and over the top Dante has ever been! Of course, you have Dante and if you have played any Devil May Cry game before you know what to expect with him. This scene just shows that the game will be set in the canon Devil May Cry storyline.ĭevil May Cry 5 is scheduled for a release on Spring of 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.There are three characters that you get to play as in this game and each one feels very, very different. Of course, the trailer ended with the franchise’s hero, Dante, sporting a short beard and looking bad-ass in a motorcycle.

The announcement trailer showed plenty of demon battles as Nero traverses the streets using some of the series’ notable weapons together with new gadgets such as a grappling hook fist. The upcoming Devil May Cry game will have Hideaki Itsuno returning as the game’s director. Now, Nero sports a new metal arm that is designed by Nico to “kick demon ass.” The upcoming installment in the franchise will see the return of Nero, who has lost his arm from a previous incident, which was the source of most of his abilities. Capcom claims that the game will serve as a direct sequel to the previous title in the franchise, Devil May Cry 4, which was released a decade ago back in 2008.
